Our Approach

We engage clients at whatever level they are most comfortable. We know that deeper conversations are events that take place when an adequate level of trust has been achieved. So, initial dialogues may have to do with basic issues of financial planning, such as retiremens goals, risk tolerance, education planning, taxation issues, investiment planning, and so on. As part of the engagement process, we will also initiate a conversation that will elucidate the client's personal narrative, at whatever depth the client wishes to engage us. We have found that when we hear a person's stories, and reflect those stories back to them, that the client him or herself arrives at deeper understandings and self-appreciation than they had previously. Our process of discovering about you can also occasion a process of self-discovery that can be very gratifying, and can give the financial planning process more depth of meaning. If you desire, we also use many assessment tools that can be helpful in discovering and highlighting strengths, personal and interpersonal style, and sources of meaning and engagement that will enhance not only your planning process, but also your daily life.

When we help you to elaborate a vision for yourself, we share that vision with you, and hold it sacred as our commitment to your best self. We have found that as we are effective in doing so, that it leads to inspiration, engagement, and an energy to the planning process that makes it a deeply satisfying experience.

We monitor plans on an ongoing basis. Life brings with it many rewards, as well as many challenges and transitions, whether planned or unplanned. We adjust our planning as you proceed in your journey through life. We find that while the basic story changes somewhat as events accrue in life, the meaning of our personal narrative deepens and matures over the years, so that we savor our lives as we proceed on its path, as we paint our portrait, as we write our symphony.
