Kathy Dawson Guerin, CFP - has been a Financial Planner since 1984, and a CFP since 1987. She graduated from Mansfield University with a BA in Education in 1974, and has used that educational background to enhance financial literacy for her clients in the course of working with them. She has distinguished herself in that regard with a special interest in financial literacy for women, teaching Women and Money at Temple University for several years. Kathy has maintained an active professional involvement, serving on the Board of the Regional Financial Planning Association, and been named as one of the region's top Financial Planners by Philadelphia Magazine. She recently achieved specialty certification In Philanthropy from the American College of Financial Planning.

 

John J. Guerin, Ph.D., ChFC, CDFA - has been a Psychologist for thirty years, licensed in Pennsylvania since 1984 and New Jersey since 1996. He has his Master's degree from University of Chicago, and his Doctorate from Temple University, where he concentrated studies in Group Process and Organizational Psychology. His dual focus on Clinical and Organizational Psychology has allowed him to work with individuals, couples, families and organizations. While developing a recognized expertise in Forensic Psychology and in Mediation, John developed an interest in the psychology of money and finance, and the role that finance plays in people's lives and relationships. He and Kathy have conducted trainings in the role of money in marriage. He has, in recent years. obtained his RIA, and is a Chartered Financial Consultant, as well as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst. He is an experienced mediator and trainer, and has worked with corporations in various industries in executive selection and development, coaching, mentoring, and organizational diagnosis, culture and development.

As A Team - Having developed their abilities to collaborate over twenty years, Kathy and John are able to synchronize their professions in their work together in a seamless manner, where the blending of skills is a smooth dance, from the client's perspective. The fit between financial planning and psychology feels as natural as it can be, i.e., the way it's "supposed to be."
